About John Douglas

John Douglas is a relationship counselor renowned for his group leadership genius. John cut his professional teeth at the leading edge of the personal growth movement that swept through California in the 1980s and 90s. For 25 years, he has been a passionate pioneer of relationship as a spiritual pathway.

John was trained in psychotherapy, breathwork, movement and relationship therapy at the Hendricks Institute in Santa Barbara. He is an Englishman who bee-lined for California as a young adult, where he lived for 15 years before moving to Australia in the mid-1990s.

John has been married for 20 years and has three children. The groundbreaking Allies In Love concept was conceived in the crucible of his marriage. The true inspiration for the work, however, emerged from the fires of transformation ignited by the break-up of this relationship.
